THINGS TO DO BEFORE COMING TO TURKEY: 

Obtaining an Acceptance Letter

What you need to get an Acceptance Letter:

• Filling out the online application form
• Depositing Invitation Letter* fee ($75) to our bank account
• Sending the receipts and passport copy to us by e-mail tomer@kent.edu.tr

When paying, it is obligatory to write the name and surname of the student together with the passport number.

The Acceptance Letter, which is prepared within 3 working days after the online application and receipt are received by us, is sent to the applicant via e-mail and mail.

Students apply to TR consulate in their home country with the signed and sealed Acceptance Letter for a "Turkish Study Visa".

 *It not possible to refund the fee of the Acceptance Letter if final registration is not made. 

WHAT TO DO AFTER ARRIVING IN TURKEY:

The arrival of students themself or their representative at the Taksim campus of Istanbul Kent University for final registration

Applying for a residence permit

• Documents Required for Final Registration:
• Original passport and two copies of it
• A receipt showing that the cost of courses was paid
• 2 original photos
• Turkish Study Visa
• The Registration Form Containing the Contact Information (will be given by the TÖMERKENT office.)

Students can also send the necessary documents to our office via e-mail, except for the original passport. (tomer@kent.edu.tr)

Students will apply for a residence permit with the student certificate they will receive after final registration. The student will personally apply to the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for residence permit.

Documents required for residence permit:

• Passport
• Student visa
• Tömerkent student certificate
• Health insurance
• 4 photos

THINGS TO CONSIDER:

• It is mandatory for students to be present in person during registration. 
• After the registration is completed, the Placement Exam (SBS) will be held. Information about the place and time of the exam can be learned from the institution. 
• If students have valid excuses, the registration suspension requests are evaluated by the management.
• Participation in 70 % of classes is mandatory. In case of exceeding the right of absenteeism, students are considered failed and lose their right to take the course completion exam. 
• Course fees are not refundable after the final registration phase.

MATERIALS USED IN THE LESSON:

Istanbul- Turkish for Foreigners training kit and the written or visual materials prepared by our expert training staff are also used.

Each course costs $275 (VAT included)
