The Student Council operates with the aim of contributing to meeting and improving the needs of students enrolled at Istanbul Kent University in the areas of education, healthcare, sports, and culture; establishing an effective communication bridge between the university administration and students in order to convey students’ expectations and requests to the administration; and supporting students’ active participation in decisions concerning their education and academic processes.

Elections are conducted every two years in accordance with the calendar, duration, and procedures determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), and within the framework of the election schedule established and announced by the Election Board.
