Quality Committee
Duties and Responsibilities

  • To ensure the preparation of the unit’s strategic plan. 
  • To review academic and administrative activities in line with the strategic plan and institutional objectives, undertake initiatives to enhance service quality, and fulfil all responsibilities related to accreditation processes. 
  • To prepare the Unit Self-Evaluation Report. 
  • To make the necessary preparations for certification and monitoring activities to be conducted by independent assessment bodies within the scope of the Quality Management System and to provide these bodies with the required support. 
  • To communicate the decisions adopted by the Quality Committee to the relevant academic and administrative units, contribute to their implementation, and monitor the outcomes. 
  • To hold meetings in February and June each year to evaluate the activities undertaken. 
  • To perform any other duties required under this Directive and in accordance with the procedures and principles established by the Quality Committee.

Course Exemption and Academic Adjustment Committee
Duties and Responsibilities

  • To establish and implement the principles applicable to all types of student transfers within the relevant department. 
  • To make the necessary academic adjustment arrangements concerning the class standing and course requirements of students transferring within or between institutions or enrolled in a double major programme. 
  • To determine the departmental equivalents of courses completed at other higher education institutions and carry out grade conversions for approved courses. 
  • To review the files of students admitted through horizontal or vertical transfer and archive all documentation relating to academic adjustment procedures in digital format. 
  • To establish and implement academic adjustment criteria for students re-enrolling under amnesty provisions in accordance with Senate decisions and document the results electronically.

Horizontal Transfer, Vertical Transfer, Double Major and Minor Committee
Duties and Responsibilities

  • To oversee the collection, evaluation, and finalisation of applications. 
  • To approve the registration procedures of eligible students. 
  • To organise interviews or additional assessment procedures where deemed necessary. 
  • To determine academic adjustment courses and course exemption decisions. 
  • To submit reports to the relevant Faculty or University Administrative Board.

Education, Measurement and Evaluation Committee
Duties and Responsibilities

  • To collect feedback from students and graduates. 
  • To prepare, administer, digitally manage, and update assessment instruments such as student course evaluations and graduate surveys. 
  • To monitor and evaluate programme outcomes. 
  • To determine the alignment of undergraduate courses with programme outcomes, measure and analyse their contribution levels, and prepare periodic reports. 
  • To enhance the quality of examination, measurement, and evaluation processes. 
  • To review examination questions and answer keys, evaluate examination results, and develop more effective measurement and evaluation methods. 
  • To monitor academic achievement data under the supervision of academic advisers. 
  • To conduct data analysis and reporting activities. 
  • To perform statistical analyses of all activities, report the results regularly, and submit them to the Departmental Accreditation Committee.

Programme Educational Objectives and Teaching Committee
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Academic structure: To review proposals concerning the establishment, closure, or consolidation of academic units and programmes and submit recommendations to the Rectorate or Dean’s Office. 
  • Educational arrangements: To evaluate course content, curriculum revisions, and draft regulations concerning education and teaching. 
  • Applied education and quality enhancement: To undertake initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education. 
  • Data collection and planning: To collect and analyse data concerning the academic calendar, student quotas, and faculty teaching workloads and submit reports to the Rectorate or Dean’s Office. 
  • Process monitoring and guidance: To ensure the implementation of the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle in educational processes and evaluate guidance and instructions received from the Rectorate.
