Assurance of Learning

The Business Administration (English) Program is committed to maintaining and continuously improving the quality of student learning through a systematic Assurance of Learning process. This process ensures that Program Educational Objectives and Program Learning Outcomes are regularly assessed, monitored, reviewed, and improved in alignment with institutional and national quality standards.

Purpose of the Assurance of Learning System

The Assurance of Learning system is designed to ensure that graduates acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies defined by the program. It supports the continuous evaluation of student achievement and provides evidence for curriculum development and program improvement.

Program Educational Objectives and Learning Outcomes

The program defines:

  • Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), which describe the professional and career achievements expected of graduates within the first years after graduation.
  • Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), which identify the knowledge, skills, and competencies students are expected to acquire during their studies.

The relationship between educational objectives, learning outcomes, course outcomes, and national qualification frameworks is systematically monitored and reviewed.

Assessment and Evaluation

Student achievement is assessed through both direct and indirect assessment methods.

Direct assessment methods include:

  • Course-based performance evaluations
  • Projects and assignments
  • Examinations and other academic assessments

Indirect assessment methods include:

  • Student surveys
  • Alumni surveys
  • Employer and stakeholder feedback

Assessment results are analyzed periodically to determine the extent to which learning outcomes and educational objectives are being achieved.

Stakeholder Participation

The Assurance of Learning process actively involves students, alumni, employers, industry representatives, and academic staff. Feedback obtained from stakeholders contributes to the evaluation and continuous improvement of the program.

Continuous Improvement

Assessment findings are reviewed through a continuous improvement cycle. When necessary, curriculum updates, learning outcome revisions, and other improvement actions are implemented to enhance program effectiveness and student success.

Transparency and Quality Assurance

Current Program Educational Objectives and Program Learning Outcomes are made available to all stakeholders through the department's digital platforms. The program regularly reviews and updates these elements to ensure relevance, quality, and alignment with evolving academic and professional expectations.
