Graduation Requirements and Workflow

Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate from the undergraduate programs of Istanbul Kent University, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, students must fulfill the following requirements in accordance with Article 45 of the Istanbul Kent University Regulation on Education, Training and Examinations:

  • Completion of a total of 240 ECTS credits for four-year undergraduate programs,
  • Successful completion of the Graduation Thesis as well as all compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum,
  • Achievement of a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00,
  • Maintaining an active student status (not being dismissed from the University).

Students who are eligible for graduation are entitled to receive their diploma provided that they:

  • Fulfill all tuition fees and any other financial obligations,
  • Return all university property/equipment registered to them completely.

Graduation Workflow

  • The graduation process consists of the following stages:
  • The Directorate of Student Affairs checks whether the student meets the graduation requirements.
  • Eligible students are reviewed by the Department Chair.
  • Students are evaluated by the Department Graduation Committee.
  • Students deemed eligible for graduation are reported to the Dean’s Office.
  • Graduation requests are submitted to the Faculty Administrative Board and finalized by decision.
  • Approved graduation information is submitted to the Rectorate to be communicated to the Directorate of Student Affairs.
  • Diploma preparation and delivery procedures are carried out by the Directorate of Student Affairs.

Graduation is a systematic process in which students’ academic qualifications are evaluated through multiple stages by different administrative units. The process is initiated by the Directorate of Student Affairs, reviewed academically by the department and the graduation committee and finalized by the decision of the Faculty Administrative Board.
