HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
Department of Political Science and Public Administration is composed of topics in Political Science, Administrative Sciences, Communication, Law, Urbanization and Environment in general. Department of Political Science and Public Administration aims to raise expert personnel for both state administration and private sector for positions such as district governor, administrative law judge and expert, administrator, inspector in particular.
Our main objective is to make our students gain versatile, critical and analytical thinking capacity in approaching problems and a profound social, political, legal, cultural, economic perspective with a high sensitivity to environmental issues. Our department, with its deeply competent academic staff, educates our students, who are equipped with expertise requiring knowledge and skills, to work life. Alongside our interactive courses such as Political History, History of Political Thought, Administrative and Constitutional Law, Turkish Politics, Contemporary Political Thought, International Relations, History of Turkish Administration, Social Structure of Turkey; we are confident in providing an education improving our students’ skills of producing, reaching and using knowledge with their social developments.
Graduates of our Department are employed in State Administration, various offices of local governments, public finance institutions and banks, media related public institutions, alongside with banks, finance institutions, internal and external audit companies in private sector. It is because they graduate from our Kent University as individuals who had become powerful in social relations, asking true questions, trying to produce their own answers, possessing ethical values, following current issues closely, with capacity to empathy and a qualified use of media and technology.
