MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

"International Trade and Business is a field that is gaining increasing importance in today’s globalizing world, where economic and commercial relations are becoming more complex and interconnected. Today, it is essential for a successful international trade expert to not only be proficient in foreign trade processes, but also to have a solid foundation in core areas such as business management, administration, finance, and marketing. In line with this understanding, our department adopts a comprehensive and multidisciplinary educational approach that focuses on international trade while also encompassing the broader field of business. This approach will provide our valued students with significant advantages in their professional careers after graduation.

The curriculum of the Department of International Trade and Business is composed of courses that equip students with practical knowledge and skills related to real-world business issues. Courses such as Statistics, Introduction to Business, Theories and Policies of International Trade, Financial Accounting and Reporting, International Finance, Supply Chain Management, Strategic Management, Operations Management, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics form the foundation of this program. In addition, professional English courses and a wide selection of electives—both within and outside the field—allow students to develop their individual interests and talents. In this way, our department offers a strong educational infrastructure that combines both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
The primary goal of our department is to educate individuals who are capable of recognizing international trade documents, applying delivery and payment methods in commercial transactions, effectively managing business functions, conducting economic analyses, and thinking on a global scale.

Our graduates have a wide range of career opportunities. They can work in departments such as foreign trade, finance, management, human resources, sales, and marketing in companies operating at national and international levels. Additionally, they can pursue careers in various public institutions, including ministries such as the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Trade, and Customs. Moreover, since our graduates hold a diploma from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, they are also eligible to pursue graduate studies in fields such as business, economics, and finance.
Our fundamental mission is to raise qualified individuals who possess analytical thinking skills, can blend local practices with a global perspective, and are well-prepared for professional life—within a respectful, principled, and collaborative educational framework."
