Distance Education Policy

The Distance Education Policy prepared for the Business Administration (Turkish and English) Programs has been developed in alignment with the University’s distance education practices and relevant higher education regulations.

This policy defines the fundamental principles for planning, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving distance education processes within a quality assurance framework.

Purpose

To ensure that distance education activities are conducted within a quality assurance framework and maintained as a continuously improving system.

Scope

This policy covers all courses delivered through distance education within the undergraduate programs of the Business Administration Departments, as well as the students enrolled in these courses and the academic staff involved.

Core Principles

  • Distance education activities are carried out under the coordination of Kent UZEM
  • Course content and assessment processes are designed in alignment with learning outcomes
  • Technical support is provided to both students and academic staff
  • Diversity and reliability are ensured in assessment and evaluation processes
  • Compliance with data security and ethical principles is maintained

Stakeholder Engagement and Monitoring

The policy has been developed based on stakeholder feedback and approved by the Department Board. Its implementation is monitored within the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle and reviewed annually, with updates made in line with feedback received.

Monitoring and Continuous Improvement

The policy is monitored and improved annually within the PDCA cycle:

Plan: Objectives and priorities are determined
Do: Educational processes are implemented
Check: Feedback and data are analyzed
Act: Improvement actions are taken
