Kent Üniversitesi

DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

Director

Dear students,

Vocational School of Istanbul Kent University has made it its mission to train the qualified workforce needed in our country within the framework of Turkey's development plans. As Vocational School, on one hand, we care about ensuring that students graduate ready for working life, and on the other hand, we value carrying out work aimed at improving the employment opportunities of graduates. We are also committed to supporting the working life of our country with scientific activities conducted by our dynamic academic staff.

We started our education and training activities at the Vocational School of Istanbul Kent University with the Justice Program. We have increased the total number of programs in our school to three by incorporating Computer Programming and Hair Care and Beauty Services Program into our structure. Each of our programs consists of four semesters and a two-year curriculum. Our lessons are conducted by experienced academics, who are experts in their fields, in special classrooms and practice areas with library resources according to a science and student-oriented approach.

At the Vocational School, we use multiple methods for students to grow professionally and individually. We offer our students an education and training environment where they can explore their own interests and skills, so they are not limited to the area of the program they have enrolled in. In addition to the basic vocational courses, we have a diverse pool of electives, including foreign language courses. We also provide students with the opportunity to do a double major or a minor with certain programs.

We aim to ensure that our graduates are employed by both private and public institutions and organizations with the education they receive at the Vocational School. We provide DGS (vertical transition exam) courses for our students who want to continue their undergraduate studies via DGS and we make sure that the curriculum is compatible with the bachelor's degree. In order for our students to be introduced to practice and professional life at the learning stage, we organize various events: Kent Justice Meetings, Vocational School Workshops, Vocational School Competitions, Entrepreneurship Competitions and End-of-Year Fashion Show events have been going on since 2019.

In order to increase the internship and job opportunities of our students, we carry out certified and employment-oriented internship programs with industry representatives. For example, we have provided internship and working opportunities to students and graduates of the Justice Program of our Vocational School in notary offices within the scope of the program we have started with the Turkish Association of Notaries. With a similar approach, we continue our joint work with public and private sector organizations for Computer Programming and Hair Care and Beauty Services Programs.

As the Directorate of the Vocational School of Istanbul Kent University, we aim to operate as a reputable school known for its role in educating individuals who are committed to contemporary and national values. We continue to prepare and provide an academic environment where our students can acquire the awareness of questioning, the culture of being able to distinguish right information from the wrong, the understanding of solidarity and the ability to adopt professional developments.

We invite prospective students to a life adventure in our Vocational School.
